Technical Sales Representative, Southwest Region

Sarnafil is an innovative leader in thermoplastic roofing and waterproofing products, and has established a world class record of reliability and performance. We currently have an opening for a Technical Service Representative for the Southwest Region.  The ideal candidate is located in or around Houston, TX.  This position is responsible to provide technical sales support at the regional level to customers (contractors, architects, building owners) with possible management of manufacture representatives to achieve pre-determined sales and profit objectives.  The candidate needs to have excellent communication, organizational and writing skills, knowledge about the roofing industry and needs to be willing to travel. This position reports to the Regional Manager, Southwest.

The responsibilities include:

  • Position Sarnafil as a company that provides quality products and service
  • Sales of all Sarnafil Roofing and Waterproofing systems to meet agreed upon budget and gross margin objectives
  • Maintain manufacturer’s representatives to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Identify and follow-up on new market opportunities
  • Specification activity through Roofing Consultants, Architects, Engineers and all other influencing parties
  • Roofing contractor account management to include bid returns, receivables, territory coverage
  • Establish key owner of territories
  • Provide weekly, monthly sales activity reports
  • Handling of project pricing
  • Box lunch seminar presentations
  • Sample, literature presentation
  • Specification writing
  • Other projects as they arise
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualifications:
  • High School Degree
  • Prior field service experience with single-ply roofing application
  • Sales experience within roofing industry highly desirable
Required Skills andAbilities:
  • Computer literate
  • Valid Driver License
  • Ability to travel
